MEET THE STAFF

JEFF QUIGGLE
Head of Security

Born and raised in Bloomington, MN, I graduated from Prior Lake H.S. I began working concerts in 1980 with Campus Crusade for Christ at U of M, and took over as Director of Security at the Sonshine Festival in 1987, the same year I graduated from North Central University. I was a Youth Pastor at Prior Lake and Bethel Assembly of God in the mid to late 80’s, and now attend Grove Christian Center in Maple Grove where I am a deacon and youth leader. I’ve worked with Jam Productions since 1996 (now Sonshine Concerts), and Grace Church since 2001. Running shows is my passion, and as a fellow volunteer working with wonderful people, I could not imagine doing something more enjoyable. I like to think Sonshine Security is the best group of security volunteers in the Nation!

RANDY QUIGGLE
Crowd Patrol Supervisor

I grew up in Prior Lake, Mn and graduated in 1983 from Prior Lake H.S. My wife Claudia and I have been married since 1996 and have two daughters. We attend Evergreen Church in Bloomington, Mn where we met. I have been doing concerts almost as long as my brother Jeff, but I let him take charge of everything…he has a fragile ego. I enjoy patrolling through the Sonshine Festival grounds getting to know people and seeing them having a good time in many unique ways while not breaking any rules, then we have to do the not-so-fun part of our job. I have been doing Security at Sonshine since 1987 and enjoy it and the fellow volunteers I work with thoroughly

LEIGH LUNDY
Stage 2 Supervisor

I have lived all over Minnesota, but have recently put down roots in Otsego. I have been working with Sonshine since 1999. I can't say that I have found anything other than my family that is as satisfying as this. I have been very blessed to be a part of Sonshine Security and have made friends that will last a lifetime.

SHEILA QUIGGLE
Assistant Head of Security

I’ve been married to Jeff since 1985 and worked side by side with him running security at the Sonshine Festival since we took over in 1987. We have two wonderful children and they’ve never known anything but year-round Sonshine planning….. which I thoroughly enjoy! Working with the 120+ on crew each year at Sonshine can be a little exhausting for me but I wouldn’t give it up for anything. I am the Church Secretary at Grove Christian Center where we have attended since the mid 90’s. I’m involved in the Nursery, Youth, and any other areas that need attention!

GREG NORDIN
SRT (Strategic Response Team) Supervisor
Emergency Services Liason/Comunications Coordinator/Web Designer

Born and raised in Shoreview, MN, I graduated from Moundsview H.S. in 1992. I joined Sonshine Security in 1996, became a member of Strategic Response Team in 1998 and took over as an SRT Crew Supervisor in 2000. I also handle the website changes and updates as well as make sure that the radios are all in order for the festival.

JOE OLSON
Stage 2 Supervisor

I have been with Sonshine Security since 1993 and have thoroughly enjoyed every year. The people I have worked with at the Festival throughout the years are some of the best people I know and I will always call them friends. I was the Alternative Stages Supervisor for a number of years until my good friends Leigh and Charlie took over responsibility for Stages 3 and HM. I can't think of anyone else I'd rather work with. I'm usually camping in tent city during the weekend with my wife and our friends. They're real friendly so stop by and say hi.

lizzy alexandr
HM Stage Supervisor

-mrlizzy, a pastor in training, joined the security crew after "graduating" from a psychiatric care facility. He finds the hm stage at sonshine to be more fun than his court ordered anger management classes. Lizzy likes horror movies, long walks at night, and tormenting today's youth.

MICHELLE HOPKINS
Artist Crew Supervisor

The eldest of the "infamous" Biddle sisters (you'd have to have been around from 1996-2003 to know what that means) :-). I grew up in Waconia, MN, and love it here in MN. I started doing Sonsine Security in 1998. In 2006 I filled in as the Artist Supervisor and took over that position in 2007. I love it because I get to meet a lot of really great bands. In 2003 I "took one for the team" when I wiped out in the high school parking lot while running after some fireworks violators, my right knee hasn't been quite the same since. I love Sonshine and our Security crew is one of the best I've ever seen!

ANDREA WHITE
Communications Supervisor

The first time I attended Sonshine was with my Youth Group when I was 13 and I have rarely missed a year since. I love the atmosphere and energy of the festival. Having watched the festival grow into what it is today, I was excited to become a member of Sonshine Security in 2000. I was the Communications Assistant in 2003 and became the Communications Supervisor in 2004. Working Sonshine Security is always an adventure and I love the challenges and people I meet along the way.

JANNA LANGER
Communications Assistant

I was born and raised in Mankato, Mn. and currently living in the Twin Cities. I work in the area of Vocational Rehabilitation and I also work with homeless youth in Minneapolis. I volunteer with Prison Fellowship working with incarcerated youth and the children of incarcerated adults. I enjoy going on missions trips here in the states and internationally. I have been doing Sonshine Security since 2000, and took on the Communications Assistant position in 2004. It has been an awesome experience! I enjoy all the challenges it brings, and the great people I get to meet every year!

BRIAN THOMPSON
Main Stage Supervisor

I hail all the way from East Glacier Park, Montana. I am a teacher in a multigrade classroom in which I teach all subjects for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I graduated from North Central University in Minneapolis in 2003 before moving on to working at Bethel University. I returned to my home state of Montana in 2006 when I accepted my current teaching job. Aside from teaching and working Sonshine in the summers, I now give guided tours driving the historic Red Buses through Glacier National Park. Sonshine Security is a wonderful family and I enjoy all the friends I have made through this wonderful group! Sonshine is a highlight of my summers!

SAM JEROME
Personal Assistant to Head of Security

Born in Ohio, I've moved to the Chicago area, Minnesota (Savage), and then back to Chicago, before heading to college in downstate Illinois (Quincy, to be specific). I came to the crew in 1998, and haven't been able to shake it since! In all sincerity, being a part of Sonshine Security is the best commitment that I've ever made. It's my annual "booster-shot" for my faith, as it can only be described as amazing to be around and work with so many awesome Christians. It's my hope that I'll be a part of Sonshine until I'm old and gray. I became the Assistant to the Head of Security in 2003, and it's proven to be a much more challenging job, but I love it! It's become a part of who I am. The first thing I notice at any show or venue now is whether the Security is any good. I think that means I'm a Sonshine-for-life kind of girl!

KELLY LOWE
SRT (Strategic Response Team) Supervisor

I am a native Minnesotan, born and raised. I joined Sonshine Security in 2001 and never looked back! I am married and have two small children that keep me laughing at life and myself. I am a lighting director and designer in my spare time, and have grown up at North Heights church. I have been blessed beyond imagine by my Sonshine Security family! They are lifelong friends and provide a lifetime of memories! I absolutely love what I do, and will be working Security till I’m old and gray!

RICHARD JENNUM
Assistant SRT (Strategic Response Team) Supervisor

I was born in Omaha NE and moved to Minnesota in 1999. I did security for shows in Omaha and later at Club3Degrees in Mpls. I’ve been working Sonshine Security since 2006 and was made SRT Asst Sup in 2008. Both of my sons Brandon and Adam have also on the security crew at Sonshine. I am an Electrician by trade and love my heavy metal music. I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones at sonshine every year.

AMBERLIE HAAK
HM stage Supervisor

I have been going to Sonshine since I was fifteen and have never missed a year since. Even the year that it happened to be in the middle of my honeymoon, my husband and I camped out at Sonshine. That was in 2003 and was also the year that I started working security. I am usually found in the HM stage where, after working about 12 hours straight one year, they decided to let me out into the sun and supervise the debut stage (which was not too far from HM). Now, I co-supervise the HM stage with lizzy. I absolutely love everything about Sonshine and working there! It is definitely, 100 percent, my favorite time of the year!
