• Wristband must be worn on wrist - duh!
• Pay close attention to the wristband for fakes or taped up wristbands
• Look under long sleeves in cold or rain. Don’t assume!
• Security or stage crew shirt alone is not good enough
• Keep the area clear for golf cart traffic (including your own feet)
MAIN STAGE VEHICLE GATE
• Allow people with a regular wristband
to go through to corner gate.
• Make sure they go through corner gate and not wander backstage!
• Check incoming vehicles for parking pass
• Find out who the bus or semi is carrying and alert chuck.

• No security on stage; you may stand on the stairs to see
• Be alert for backstage crashers trying to get on stage
• SRT will be there after when needed for artist escort
•
Stick to your assigned numbered platform unless your help is needed at another
platform temporarily. Return to your platform ASAP
• Surfers can come over the wall at any time. Be looking at all times,
especially between bands
• Be careful not to injure yourself or crowd surfers on metal stakes
• Make sure surfers are set down gently and have solid footing. Pass
them directly to one of the front stage assistants
• Do not stand on the platform and needlessly block the crowds’
view of the stage unless you need to pull a surfer over the wall
• Hold your ground firmly six feet from the wall.
• Face away from the stage.
• Link arms if necessary with crew to both left and right.
• If area between you and the wall is too packed move a few people behind
you by hooking them around the waist.
• Pull down surfers when they come to you. Do NOT let them go over your
head! Only pass people DESPARATELY needing help.
• Assist with the removal of individuals needing medical attention.
They may be on ground or surfing. Pass them to the wall.
• Drink plenty of water before going into crowd and bring a bottle with
you as well!
• When given someone that came over the wall:
o Make sure
their footing is solid before walking them out.
o Don’t rush them especially if they are weak in the knees.
o Determine if they might need medical attention. Look into their eyes. Ask
them if they’re OK. If you feel they are not, bring them to the EMT
personnel on left side of stage.
o They can’t stay backstage and must be walked out side gate.
• When walking people out of backstage:
o Hold on to
them! Be careful no one runs into camera operators. You need to physically
direct people on the best path around them.
o Always use the path along the front of the stage going out the left side
gate. Never go through backstage crowd.
o Stay with people you’ve been given until they are out the gate. Don’t
just send them in that direction.
o Have your flashlight ready to help people see clear path out.
• Stand
between platforms against wall or against stage facing the crowd when nothing
is happening. Do not get in the way of SRT working platforms. When someone
is being pulled over the wall back up towards the stage so you don’t
get kicked or stepped on.
• Stay spread out to insure all platforms are covered when one of you
is needed. Some platforms will be busier than others. Help wherever necessary.
• Don’t attempt to give water, either cups or bottles, to crowd.
You can’t get it to everybody. Water is for our crew and hurting people
that have come over the wall.
