SONSHINE SECURITY LOCAL EVENTS INFORMATION
Copyright 2008 Sonshine Security

We frequently are asked to assist with various other Christian concerts and events throughout the year.  Although we are all volunteers, I expect the highest level of professionalism from each person.  Promoters and Artists alike have come to expect the best from their tour stop in the Twin Cities.  I expect each person to honor the commitments they have made to whichever shows by arriving ON TIME and working hard.  If for any reason you are unable to make it to loadin in the morning I expect a call as far in advance as possible.  An e-mail is also acceptable.  Please do not just skip the show or be late and expect me not to notice.  It won't happen, and it will cost you $10 (See below).  Now that I've frightened most of you by sounding like such a hard guy, let me assure you that we have fun at our shows and I'm very easy to get along with.

Do not just show up to work unless it’s been cleared with me. Bring GLOVES if doing loadin/loadout. Security crew will perform a number of duties depending on the event, mostly checking tickets, keeping aisles clear and door security. Assignments are given at a Security meeting before the show. Wear your Sonshine Security SHIRT and bring a FLASHLIGHT. NON-SONSHINE Security crew MAY be required to put down a deposit of $10 when working loadin/loadout or security at any show so no one is tempted to catch a free concert and bolt before loadout is complete. PLEASE have your $10 ready when you arrive in the morning as I have heard all the excuses. I will send you to a cash machine, and I DON'T accept IOU's. Your $10 will be returned FOLLOWING loadout. You must also let me know if you can no longer make it to the show. Failure of ANYONE to show up for the duty you've committed to for any reason short of death will leave me very upset, and you will be charged $10, payable before you're allowed to work another concert (Sonshine included). Yes, I take commitments seriously!

An e-mail containing any further details on arrival times and anything else will be sent the week of the show. That e-mail is also the LAST reminder you will receive for the show. The e-mail will list all crews. If your listing is incorrect, PLEASE let me know. I expect everyone working that show to respond by e-mail with "I'M THERE". Not "I will try to be there" or "I'm still trying to get the day off work". Simply "I'm There". That way I know you received the details for the show and I can expect to see you there. E-mail me with any further questions that cannot be found on this site.
